REFUND POLICY

Refund Policy

Last updated: August 5, 2026

1. Overview

Trusttool provides a range of digital services including AI translation (TrustVoice), online calculators, developer tools, and free utilities. This Refund Policy governs all paid purchases across every Trusttool product and service. By purchasing any paid service, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to this no-refund policy, except where mandatory consumer protection laws provide otherwise (see Section 4).

Important: All purchases of digital services, subscriptions, and API credits are final and non-refundable once the service has been accessed or used. We do not issue refunds for partial billing periods, unused minutes, or change of mind. Where a jurisdiction grants a mandatory withdrawal or refund right (for example the EU/UK 14-day right described in Section 4), that right is preserved and applies in accordance with the conditions stated there.

2. No-Refund Policy

All paid Trusttool services — including but not limited to TrustVoice subscriptions, API credit packages, premium tool access, and digital purchases — are non-refundable, non-returnable, and non-exchangeable once the purchased service has been accessed or used. "Accessed or used" means, for example, activating a subscription, running a translation, or consuming any API credits. Once payment is processed and the service is accessed or used, the transaction is final. This applies to:

  • Subscription fees — no pro-rata refunds for partial months or unused service quotas
  • API credit top-ups — credits are consumed when used and are non-refundable once purchased
  • Pay-as-you-go charges — usage-based fees are final and non-refundable
  • Upgrade or downgrade adjustments — plan changes take effect immediately; no refunds for the remaining balance on the old plan
  • Add-on features or one-time purchases — all add-ons and one-time fees are non-refundable

This no-refund position is lawful for digital content because, at checkout, you give your express consent to immediate performance and acknowledge that you thereby lose your 14-day withdrawal right where such a right would otherwise apply (see Section 4). Where mandatory local law does not permit such a waiver, the mandatory right prevails.

3. Subscription Cancellation

You may cancel your paid Trusttool subscription (including TrustVoice) at any time from your account dashboard or by contacting support. Cancellation stops future billing but does not entitle you to a refund for the current billing period. Upon cancellation:

  • Your subscription remains active until the end of the current billing period
  • Unused service quotas (e.g., translation minutes, API calls) do not roll over and are forfeited at period end
  • API keys remain active for the remainder of the billing period and are revoked upon expiration
  • You may continue to access paid features until the period ends, after which your account reverts to the free tier (if applicable)

4. Statutory Withdrawal Right (EU, EEA & UK Consumers)

If you are a consumer in the European Union, European Economic Area, or United Kingdom, you normally have a legal right to withdraw from a distance (online) contract within 14 days of purchase and receive a full refund, without giving a reason. Because our services are digital content delivered electronically, this right is lost once the following three conditions are all met (as required by the EU Consumer Rights Directive and the UK Consumer Contracts Regulations):

  • We began to supply the digital content (performance started) — for example, you activated your subscription, used API credits, or ran a translation;
  • You gave your express consent, before purchase, to the supply of the digital content beginning immediately (collected via a clear opt-in at checkout, not a pre-ticked box); and
  • You acknowledged, before purchase, that you would thereby lose your right of withdrawal.

If all three conditions are met, the purchase is final and non-refundable. If you have NOT accessed or used the service and did not give the required express consent within the 14-day period, you may request a full refund by contacting us in writing within 14 days of purchase. Approved statutory refunds are processed within 14 days using your original payment method. These rights apply only where mandated by local consumer law and do not expand beyond what that law requires.

5. Chargebacks & Disputes

If you initiate a chargeback, reversal, or dispute with your payment provider (Lemon Squeezy, credit card issuer, PayPal, etc.) without first contacting us to resolve the issue, your account may be immediately suspended or terminated. We reserve the right to:

  • Dispute any chargeback by providing evidence of service delivery and your acceptance of this policy
  • Suspend or permanently terminate your Trusttool account and all associated API keys
  • Block your email address and payment details from registering new accounts
  • Pursue recovery of any chargeback fees or costs incurred

If you believe a billing error has occurred, please contact our support team before initiating a chargeback. We are committed to resolving legitimate billing issues promptly.

6. Free Trial & Evaluation

Trusttool offers free trial periods and limited free tiers across its products to allow you to evaluate the service before purchasing. It is your responsibility to assess whether the service meets your needs during the trial period. Once you convert to a paid plan, the no-refund policy applies in full. We strongly recommend:

  • Using the full free trial period to test features, quality, and compatibility
  • Reviewing our Terms of Service and product documentation before committing to a paid plan
  • Contacting our support team with any questions about features, limitations, or suitability for your use case

7. Service Issues & Credits

While we do not offer refunds, we may — at our sole discretion — issue service credits or account adjustments across any Trusttool product in the following circumstances:

  • Extended service outage (downtime exceeding 24 consecutive hours) due to infrastructure failure on our part
  • Persistent technical errors that materially prevent you from using the core features of a paid product for an extended period
  • Billing errors resulting in overcharges (e.g., double billing or incorrect plan charges)

Service credits are issued at our discretion and are not guaranteed. Credits may be applied as account balance, additional service quotas, or billing adjustments. Service credits do not entitle you to a cash refund.

8. Contact & Billing Inquiries

Have questions about a charge or need help with a billing issue? Please contact our support team before taking any action. We respond to billing inquiries within 1–2 business days.
